To be helpful in a therapeutic context it is important that the therapist be congruent, authentic, reflective, knowledgeable, open-minded, present, confident, healthy, useful, compassionate and empathetic.
As a supervisor it is my job to walk beside my supervisee with accepting supportiveness so that they can grow with security towards their therapeutic and personal potential.

My theory of change is that we must experience newness if we are going to integrate different methods into our ways of interacting with the world; because of this belief I am both an experiential therapist and an experiential supervisor.

Additionally I believe that wellness is achieved when a person feels safe to be their true self and is able to interact with their environment in a way which utilizes their innate strengths.

Fulfillment is present when a system is set up in a way which encourages the authentic presentation of its’ members purpose.

With these added beliefs I become an existential, experiential, person-centered therapist who interacts at the systems level to create environments that foster authenticity for all involved.

For such to be achieved I assess what the system needs… a structural shift, a solution, an experience of attunement, an empowerment to clearly articulate needs etc… and use intervention based on the context of the family to move them towards a clearly verbalized and deconstructed objective.
